Staying secure when looking for property
Every agency on Buyutkom is reviewed before it can publish, but no marketplace can vouch for every conversation that happens off it. These are the habits that keep people safe.
Never pay to secure a property you haven’t seen
No legitimate agency asks for a deposit, key money or a “reservation fee” before you have viewed the property and met them. Requests to pay quickly, in cash, or to a personal account are the clearest sign of a scam.
View in person before committing
Photos can be old, borrowed from another listing, or of a different property entirely. Visit before you sign or transfer anything, and be wary if you are told a viewing isn’t possible.
Deal with the agency, through the agency
Every listing here names the agency marketing it. Contact them on the number shown on the listing, and be cautious if someone asks to move the conversation to a private channel or claims to be acting for the agency.
Be sceptical of prices that look too good
A property well below the going rate for its area is the oldest hook there is. Compare against similar listings in the same commune before you get excited.
Report a listing
If a listing looks inaccurate, misleading, already taken, or you have been asked for money in a way that worries you, tell us. We review every report and can remove a listing or suspend an agency’s access.
